Higher Education, Science and Innovation Minister Blade Nzimande has withdrawn the notice to place Unisa under administration.

Higher Education and Training Minister Blade Nzimande has withdrawn his notice to put the University of South Africa (Unisa) under administration, the department's spokesperson Ishmael Mnisi confirmed on Friday.
Mnisi said Nzimande had withdrawn the government notice published in the Government Gazette on 27 October that announced the decision to appoint an administrator for Unisa.
The withdrawal comes more than a month after the Gauteng High Court in Pretoria issued an interdict preventing the minister from placing the institution under administration.
