Higher Education and Training Minister Blade Nzimande has withdrawn his notice to put the University of South Africa (Unisa) under administration, the department's spokesperson Ishmael Mnisi confirmed on Friday.

The withdrawal comes more than a month after the Gauteng High Court in Pretoria issued an interdict preventing the minister from placing the institution under administration.
