Nafiz Modack's trial on charges of corrupting former Cape Town Central police station boss Brigadier Kolindren Govender heard further evidence in the Cape Town Regional Court on Friday of how some police top brass scrambled when one of Modack's clients was arrested.

Former acting commander of the Woodstock police station, Brigadier Jan Alexander, testified that on 8 August 2013, he was on the N1 driving home from work when he started getting calls about a situation involving Observatory car dealer, the now deceased Nazeem Saait.

He said he also received a call from the former police commissioner, Arno Lamoer, about the incident.
