The case against 14 people accused of fleecing Eskom out of R36 million in a prepaid power scam has been postponed to June 2024.

Two members of a 14-strong syndicate accused of fleecing Eskom out of R36 million in a prepaid power scam tried to bribe a Hawks officer with R100 000.

The members of the alleged syndicate: Petrus Mohapi, Donald Rammusi, Victor Mdlalose, Joseph Mdlalose, Alfred Migal, Florence Mdlalose, Daniel Moleko, Xolani Dube, Thandi Theletsane, Lebogang Thabanyana, Mohapi Balfour, Tebello Theletsane, Papi Theletsane, Sebabatso Mbele appeared at the Gauteng High Court sitting in Palm Ridge. 

They face multiple charges of theft and money laundering, while others face additional charges of corruption and possession of an unlicensed firearm.
