A convicted wife killer should not be sent to jail because he is a successful businessman who is "making R250 000" per month and "always helping those in need".
This information formed part of a report written by a private probation officer and social worker whom businessman Musa Ntsibande had hired to submit a report in mitigation of sentence at the Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg.
Agreeing with her, Steven Makamo, an ANC councillor from Ward 78 in Tembisa, gave the court a glowing account of how helpful Ntsibande was to the community he comes from.
