The case against 11 high-profile private sector and former state executives implicated in R398.4-million Transnet fraud and corruption case – among them the state parastatal's former bosses Brian Molefe and Siyabonga Gama – has been transferred to the Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg for trial.

The case was transferred from the Johannesburg Specialised Crimes Court in Palm Ridge, where the accused have been appearing following their arrests.

There are 15 accused persons, including companies, facing a range of charges, which include contravention of the Public Finance Management Act, fraud, theft, corruption, and money laundering.
