South Africa submitted a joint referral of the situation in Palestine to the ICC.
South Africa has reiterated its stance on the raging Israel-Palestine conflict, this time by submitting a joint referral to the Office of the Prosecutor (OTP) of the International Crimes Court (ICC) alongside five other states.
On Friday, the Department of International Relations and Cooperation (Dirco) announced that Vusi Madonsela, South Africa's ambassador in the Hague, personally delivered the referral.
The department submitted the referral jointly with Rome Statute members Bolivia, Venezuela, Comoros and Djibouti.
