Western Cape police have arrested yet another suspect for the brutal murder of taxi boss Dingalomoya Cintso, who was shot dead inside the Wynberg Magistrate's Court over a week ago.

Cintso, 50, was gunned down inside the courtroom while attending his own trial for murder and possession of an unlicensed firearm.

Just days after the killing, police arrested Shireen Matthews, the woman believed to be the mastermind behind Cintso's murder.

Her case was postponed to 23 April, when bail proceedings are expected to begin.

In a statement on Monday, police spokesperson Brigadier Novela Potelwa said detectives from the Serious and Violent Crimes unit arrested yet another woman over the weekend in connection with Cintso's murder.

Police said the 23-year-old woman is expected to appear in the Wynberg Magistrate's Court on Tuesday on a murder charge.

"With the investigation unfolding, the team has been questioning a number of individuals, and steady progress is being made in efforts to apprehend all those responsible for the murder.

"It is expected that further arrests will be made in due course," said Potelwa.

According to police, Cintso had links to the taxi industry.
