Section27 wants fresh hearings for two teachers who assaulted children, as it believes they received lenient sanctions and could continue teaching.
The public interest law centre has approached the Supreme Court of Appeal (SCA) to partly appeal a judgment by the Gauteng High Court in Pretoria.
The SCA is expected to hear the matter on Monday.
