Partly cloudy and warm to hot conditions are expected in most parts of the country, but severe thunderstorms persist in Mpumalanga, Free State, Limpopo and KwaZulu-Natal, according to the South African Weather Service (SAWS).

Impact-based warnings

A Yellow Level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms with heavy downpours leading to localised flooding of susceptible roads, settlements, low-lying bridges/areas, strong and damaging winds, hail, and excessive lightning is expected over the Highveld and escarpment of Mpumalanga and Limpopo, as well as the eastern parts of the Free State.
