The trusted gardener of an elderly Ottery couple was sentenced to life in prison by the Western Cape High Court for murdering them with the help of his assistant.
Riedwaan and Rugeya Addinall, both 82, were found strangled to death in the garden cottage they rented in Ottery on 5 January 2019.
The couple had downsized from a big house and trusted Gcinile Ngcobela completely with tasks their ageing bodies struggled with.
