The South African Weather Service has forecasted a mixture of fine and partly cloudy conditions with isolated showers and hot weather in some regions; others will have rain and warm temperatures.

Fire danger warnings

Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over Khai-Ma in the Northern Cape as well as the Laingsburg and Beaufort West municipalities in the Western Cape.

Advisory

Heatwaves with persistently high temperatures are expected over the Central and Little Karoo in the Western Cape, the Sarah Baartman, Chris Hani and Alfred Nzo districts as well as the Raymond Mhlaba and Amahlathi local municipalities in the Eastern Cape until Tuesday.

Cloudy conditions with morning fog in the south are forecasted for the western half of the Eastern Cape.

Otherwise, fine conditions and hot to very hot but warm temperatures are expected along the coast.

Isolated showers can be expected in places along the coast and adjacent interior at night.

The wind along the coast will be light and variable, becoming a light to moderate south-westerly from late afternoon.

The eastern half of the province will have morning fog in places along the coast and adjacent interior.

Otherwise, fine, and warm conditions but hot temperatures are forecasted in the north-west.

The wind along the coast will be light and variable, becoming a light to moderate north-easterly by afternoon.

KwaZulu-Natal will have partly cloudy and warm conditions with hot temperatures along the north coast and isolated showers and rain in the north-east.

The wind along the coast will be a moderate to fresh north-easterly.
