Former president Jacob Zuma and his corruption co-accused, French arms company Thales, sought to appeal the dismissal of their latest bid to have the case against them quashed - on the basis of “unreasonable delays”.

In a potentially history-shifting application, the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) argued that Zuma and Thales should be blocked from using this appeal to further delay their trial.
