Racquel "Kelly" Smith has been found guilty of the 2024 kidnapping of her then-6-year-old daughter Joshlin Smith along with her partner, Jacquen "Boeta" Appollis, and their friend, Steveno van Rhyn.
Judge Nathan Erasmus convicted the three of kidnapping and human trafficking just moments ago in the Western Cape High Court sitting at the multipurpose centre in Saldanha Bay, where their trial was being held for seven weeks.
The child went missing on 19 February 2024 in Middelpos, Saldanha Bay and has still not been found.
People in the public gallery cheered and clapped when Erasmus read out the verdict.
