ANC national executive committee member (NEC) Senzo Mchunu says former president Jacob Zuma, who has become the face of the uMkhonto weSizwe Party (MKP) and has led the campaign against the ANC, is nothing more than a "defector".
"Zuma is nothing more than a defector, and we have had to deal with other defectors in the past. It's just that he has been the president of the ANC and the president of the country, but he is nothing but a defector," he said.
Since endorsing the MKP in December, Zuma has crisscrossed the country and encouraged ANC supporters to vote for the new party.
