POPULAR Nigerian star and songwriter Patoranking has embarked on a journey to help students in Mzansi.

The award-winning musician, whose real name is Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie, told Daily Sun that his foundation, the Patoranking Foundation, together with ALX Africa, will be assisting students in their education.

Patoranking, from Lagos, Nigeria, said he and ALX have teamed up to offer a groundbreaking tech scholarship and internship opportunity to empower the next generation of innovators and creators across Africa.

"As part of this initiative, 40 learners will receive a tech scholarship offered by the Patoranking Foundation to cover all administrative fees associated with their chosen ALX tech training program.

"After completing the program, these learners will then be eligible for an opportunity to receive a paid internship with one of the world’s top tech companies," he said.

The musician explained that this scholarship is designed to provide ALX learners with the opportunity to learn essential tech skills and then apply their learning in a remote work setting, setting themselves up for future success.

Patoranking mentioned that applications are due by the end of the day on 2nd July, and decisions will be made about the recipients of the scholarship before the 15th of July.
